Are you being Social over the Holidays?

I want to start off by saying I hope you had an amazing Christmas and want to wish you a Happy New Year!

This was a blog I wrote last year just before Christmas and I thought it was fitting to have again at this time of the year.

With Christmas smack dab in the middle of the week (or like this year, 2020), most people have the week off and can enjoy time with friends and family while completely forgetting about work.

With Social Media however, it doesn’t take a break and even though it’s the holiday’s, now is a perfect time to be out there so you can engage with your audience.

I’m not saying you have to spend all day on social media like you would be at work managing your pages but what you can do is set a little time aside each day to get out and chat with your audience.

With tools like Creator Studio, TweetDeck and Hootsuite, you’re able to schedule all your content for as far out as you want (Depending on the plan you have with Hootsuite). This will take a lot of pressure off you and free up a lot of time. Once it’s scheduled however, don’t just forget about it. Of course, family time comes first but what I do is block out a half hour each day to engage with my audience.

I will admit, I’m guilty of replying to comments as they come in but what I do is each day I will block off some time and reach out and start to engage with my audience and comment on their posts. This shows you’re a brand that cares and a brand that is active.

Small things like that will go a long way.
