Stop Planning, Start Posting: My 4x a Day Content Test (and what I automated)

Exploring Content Creation and Automation: Insights from Threads to YouTube

We made it to another Friday and for me, a long week after being in Hamilton last weekend, visiting my girlfriend!

That’s the joy of being a freelancer, as busy as it can be at times, I also get to take time off when I want and focus on what really matters…her!

Ok, enough about that, let’s dive into this week’s email!

Leveraging Threads for Content Ideas

Threads is Meta’s version of Twitter/X or Blue Sky, and has become my go-to platform for content inspiration lately. For obvious reasons, I’ve completely abandoned Twitter/X and find myself more active on Threads than Blue Sky.

What I love about Threads is its ability to save topics in the “Feeds” section and easily search for ideas, making it a valuable tool for content creation.

Like Twitter used to be, the more you post on Threads, the more visibility you gain. To test this, I’m committing to posting a minimum of four times a day, seven days a week, with occasional additional posts. Over the next month, I’ll track my engagement and growth. I’ll keep you posted!

Automating Life with Samsung Modes and Routines

During a recent conversation on Threads, I discussed Samsung’s underutilized features, particularly Modes and Routines. If you’re a Samsung user, this feature can significantly automate your daily life. It’s essentially an “if-then” scenario where you can set up various automations.

For example, I use NFC tags extensively. My laundry basket has two tags, one for the washer and one for the dryer, to set timers. I also use NFC tags to control lights, like turning them red and blue when the Montreal Canadiens are playing in my man cave. I even have a routine where the lights blink red when the Habs score.

What are your favorite routines? Share them with me!

Building Visibility and Connections on YouTube

Creating content on YouTube has been a learning journey for me and I’m loving every second of it. By consistently posting one video and five YouTube Shorts per week, I’ve started gaining traction. Other creators and brands in my niche, productivity, tech, and apps, are noticing my work.

Recently, two PDF editing software companies reached out for sponsored videos. One of them even offered me a paid opportunity to create content for their channel. This not only provides additional income but also increases my visibility across multiple platforms.

If you’re struggling to grow your business on social media, consistency and niche focus are key. Start small, stay consistent, and watch the opportunities unfold.
