Why I stopped asking for an invite (and started getting them anyway)

The Dual Life: Strategy by Day, Systems by Night

I’m pulling back the curtain on the “side hustle” that fuels my main gig. As a social media manager, my world is built on digital marketing, but deep down my love is for the tools that make it all possible.

From the early days of the physical keyboards of my BlackBerry’s to my current passion, the Samsung ecosystem, I’ve realized that being a creator isn’t just about the perks, it’s about the passion for the systems behind the screens.

This week, I’m diving into the tech that drives productivity, my evolution as a tech lover, and a much-needed reality check on “clout” versus “character” in the “creator space”.

The Perks of the Pivot: Tech & Productivity

Being a content creator on TikTok, YouTube, and Instagram isn’t just a hobby; it’s a gateway. Balancing a full-time social media management role with a tech-focused side hustle has opened doors to some incredible opportunities, including an invite to the Samsung office In Mississauga for the launch of some of their phones, ear buds and tablets.

From Palm Pre to Power User

My obsession with tech and digital systems didn’t start with what we now know as current day smartphones. It started with the tactile clicking of a Palm Pre and my many different BlackBerry’s. That history informs how I view modern tech today, not just as gadgets, but as essential productivity tools and systems that help me manage clients and content simultaneously.

The "Uninvited" Truth: Humility Over Hype

There’s a trend in the industry where creators feel “entitled” to a seat at every table. I recently saw a peer get incredibly upset over a missed event invite, and it reminded me of a vital lesson: your work should speak louder than your demands. Whether you’re a small business owner or a tech creator, or even a large business or creator with a massive following, the goal is to be so good they can’t ignore you, without you having to say a word.

This Week's Quote

"You do not rise to the level of your goals. You fall to the level of your systems."

LifeHQ is the all-in-one Notion workspace that connects your tasks, goals, projects, routines, planning hub, and content calendar so nothing falls through the cracks.

You're not unproductive. You're just scattered.

One app for tasks. Another for goals. A separate content calendar. A project tracker somewhere else. And a notes app you forgot you had.

By the time you've figured out what to work on, half your energy is already gone.

The LifeHQ Second Brain fixes that.

It's a fully connected Notion workspace built for the way you actually work. Everything lives in one place and everything talks to each other.

What's inside:

Tasks tied to your projects. Projects linked to your goals. Routines that actually show up in your calendar. A content calendar built into your planning hub. A second brain that captures, organizes, and surfaces what matters.

No more context switching. No more tab overload. No more starting your day by hunting down what you were doing yesterday.

LifeHQ is for you if:

✅ You're a solopreneur or small business owner wearing too many hats

✅ You've tried every productivity app and still feel behind

✅ You want one system that holds your work, your content, and your life
