As an entrepreneur, we are always working to make sure our clients have the best experience possible. Often, I find myself working 7 days a week without a day off. However, I don’t always work from my desk. You will, at times find me working form a local coffee shop, a local craft brewery or if I’m working later into the night, you will find me on the couch.
As I am writing this blog, I am on the couch with the TV on in the background and in comfy clothes working.
But as the holidays approach, many of us will be incredibly busy with client work as well as spending time with friends and family, traveling up and down the 401 (A major highway here in Ontario). Different people will have different views on the subject, but for me, I love what I do and when I can I will get some work done.
For example, this past weekend I was in London with family for a few days. Now, I always make sure that I am ahead of the game, just in case something comes up, but I am not one that likes to get behind in my work.
For this reason, I always have my BlackBerry KEYone with me as well as my tablet and laptop. With these tools, I can get anything done anywhere as long as there is a WiFi connection. Even if there isn’t a WiFi connection, I can get work done on my BlackBerry KEYone or I can use it as a mobile hotspot!
Now, working while I am with family isn’t something that I always do but if I have to, it can be difficult as I have a 5-year-old nephew and twins that are 2 years old, a niece and nephew and they always want to see what I am up to. It’s not fair to them that I am always working so I will always make it work and make sure I have time to spend and play with them.
