I want to switch gears a little bit because I’ve talked to a few people and including myself, some of us seem to be in a motivation rut right now.
Let’s chat about how we can become more productive as entrepreneurs.
At the heart of all of it, when it comes to being a successful entrepreneur we need to have systems in place and have a good routine.
If you’ve been following me for some time, you know that ToDoist is a way for me to create systems and routines in order for me to stay productive. From the systems I use to run my business to being able to manage the content I publish, it’s a one stop shop for everything I do in my business and in my personal life.
When it comes to being organized in your business, although ToDoist is a huge help, there are so many other ways you can keep on top of things without this app.
If you don’t have a good routine, good habits or a good system you are on a path to fail. That may sound harsh but that’s exactly what it took for me to start being successful, habits and routines!
If you’re using ToDoist or any other app to create systems in your business you will want to start by sitting back and breaking down your day/week/month step by step.
For example, when it comes to onboarding a new client I have a system in place that allows me to streamline the process and keep it uniform. The same goes for offboarding a client.
Using ToDoist (or any program/app you prefer) will also allow you to make sure you keep your day organized and stay on top of things.
ToDoist, although it’s a project management tool, at the heart of it, it’s a great To Do List and is a great way to make sure you get everything done that needs to be done.
That said, looking at an app like ToDoist or even something like ClickUp, can be overwhelming and you can easily lose yourself in the amount of tasks you have on any given day.
For example, I typically have between 45-60 tasks on a given day but out of those tasks, how many of them are a priority?
From creating content for my clients, scheduling that content out, creating a strategy or running ads I have a lot going on but not everything is a priority and doesn’t need to be done right then and there.
That’s why I set up a routine in the morning to plan out my day. To do that I sit down and go over the meetings or calls I have and then I look at my ToDoist and see what I have to complete that day. From there I will write down in my Momentum Planner the top tasks that have to be done that day….no matter what.
From there I will take those tasks and break it down further looking for the Top 3 tasks. These are the tasks that no matter what have to be done. Putting the “biggest frog†first.
That “biggest frog†is the task that is the biggest and hardest to complete and once it’s done, you will be able to check off the rest of the tasks you have with ease.
Once you get into the habit of writing out your tasks, you will start to see how much more you can accomplish in a day and see your productivity rise.
If you haven’t heard of ToDoist or you’re on the fence wondering if that’s something that could help you, I want to make it a no brainer for you.
I’m going to give you a chance to not only try ToDoist premium for free for the next 2 months I’m going to give you my most used “ToDoist Projects’ that have helped me become far more productive and in turn have helped me become successful.
