5am walks = newsletter ideas (weird how that works)

Are you bored or are you Stuck?

Last week I talked about how I started walking again and I will say, once you stop, it’s true, it’s so hard to get back into that routine. Now that I’m back into the habit every morning, I don’t plan on stopping.

It’s become not only my favourite time of the day, being alone and learning from a book (listening) to seeing the sun rise and now, it’s a time I get my Newsletters and YouTube Scripts done thanks to the Voicepal app. What a time saver!!!

Ok, into this week’s post!

Are You Really Bored?

Let’s be honest, are you truly bored? When it comes to productivity, finding the motivation to get up and do something is key. Often, people confuse being bored with being stuck. Here’s the difference:

  • Boredom means you have nothing to do.
  • Being stuck means you have something to do but don’t know how to start.

If you’re stuck, start small. Write out what needs to get done that day. Identify the biggest task (your “frog”) and break it into smaller chunks. Set a timer and tackle the first small part. Once you finish, move on to the next. Before you know it, you’ll be working through tasks and you won’t be stuck.

Do You Have Systems in Place?

From being a freelancer, to an entrepreneur, or business owner, big and small, having systems and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in place is crucial.

Let’s use me as an example, as a freelancer, I’ve documented how I track time, structure my days, and manage tasks, from filing systems to content creation.

This ensures that if I’m unable to work, someone else can step in seamlessly. For larger businesses, SOPs make training new staff and maintaining productivity much easier.

Is this something you have in place already? Would you be interested in the Notion Template I use myself?

Want to Start a YouTube Channel?

Creating YouTube videos has become even more fun! The more I make, the more I learn and enjoy the process. A key to success is having a solid system in place. Here’s my approach:

  1. Use tools like the Voicepal app to create scripts in your own voice and structure, answering the follow-up questions it asks to make you script even better.
  2. Maintain a database, notebook, or spreadsheet for video ideas. You can never have to many ideas
  3. Script, film, edit, and publish videos systematically. CLICK HERE to see the exact process I use.

With this structure, creating a weekly video becomes manageable.
